Over the past two days, 29th and 30th June 2026, JDPCI Abuja successfully launched two significant climate-focused initiatives: “Community Resilience for Inclusive and Sustainable Environments” (Community RISE) Project and the “Strengthening Inclusive Climate Action through Eco-friendly Briquette Project”, both made possible through the generous funding support of CAFOD.
The Community RISE Project is being implemented through a consortium of four partners (CWSI, YASIF and Big Family 360), ably led by JDPCI Abuja. The project seeks to reduce climate vulnerability and strengthen the resilience of peri-urban and urban households across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Working closely with project participants and stakeholders, we are committed to achieving two key outcomes:
✅ Strengthened diversified and climate-smart livelihoods.
✅ Enhanced community resilience to climate-related shocks and stresses.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the project is its inclusive approach. Women, men, youth, and persons with disabilities are actively engaged and empowered to participate meaningfully in building resilient and sustainable communities.
