National TVET Conference 2026 Kicks Off in Lagos with Focus on Industry-Led Skills Development

The first day of the National TVET Conference 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria, organized by GIZ and partners, has been highly impactful and enriching.

The conference featured insightful presentations and discussions, including the Lead Paper Presentation on:

“Aligning Federal and State TVET Reforms for System Coherence: Policy Harmonization and Institutional Coordination to Foster Industry-Led TVET in Nigeria.”

Participants also benefited from a technical session on:

“Policy Insights on Competency-Based Training (CBT) in Fostering Demand-Oriented TVET.”

The discussions highlighted the importance of harmonized policies, effective institutional coordination, and industry-driven approaches in strengthening Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system to meet current and future labour market demands.
JDPCI Abuja is ably represented by the Executive Director, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Sanni, PhD. and his Programmes Director, Timothy Ejeh.
