JDPCI Abuja, on the 29th and 30th of October 2025, actively participated in the Nigeria National Disability Summit held at the Armed Forces Officers Mess, Asokoro, Abuja.

Themed “Inclusive Nigeria: Empowering Persons with Disabilities for Sustainable Development,”
the summit brought together key actors and advocates driving inclusion across Nigeria — from MDAs, CSOs, Private sector players, and Development Experts — to share ideas and chart a collective path toward an inclusive Nigeria.

During the exhibition session, JDPCI’s Programs Director, Mr. Timothy Ejeh, engaged with the GIZ team to explore possible areas of collaboration for the benefit of both organizations and the communities they serve.

A major highlight of the event was the breakout session, which provided space for stakeholders to discuss strategies for translating commitments from paper to practice, ensuring tangible progress for persons with disabilities.

The summit was proudly funded by GIZ, German Cooperation, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the European Union, Sightsavers, and International IDEA.
